Resolved Question: I am trying to choose a campground near Santa Cruz, CA?

I think I have it narrowed down to either th Portola Redwood SP, or Henry Cowell SP. Does anyone have experience with these sites? Trying to find the info online is a nightmare. I'm looking for beauty, privacy, redwoods, and some creeks or rivers if posisble. Which campground is better? Hey, thank you for the feedback Mr. Y I think I should probably avoid Big Sur due to all the wildfires they have been dealing with this year. Do you know if it's ok to travel there? Hmm... do you know which sites would be best if I went to Portola? I heard campsite 39 is good, but I've also read that some of the rangers are kind of unfriendly. Where would you recommend in Big Sur, and specifically a campsite number? I'm going in the first weekend in October so my options are limited. If you don't know that' fine too. Thanks!...
